Hi, I'm Lauren!

I am so glad you're here!

I’m a Michigan wedding and elopement photographer based in Grand Rapids, and I photograph couples who care more about how it felt than how it looked.

My work is rooted in honest connection, real emotion, and moments that unfold naturally. I’m here for the in-between moments. The quiet glances, the belly laughs, the deep breaths before walking down the aisle. The stuff that actually matters when the day is over.

Photography has been part of my life for a long time, but what keeps me showing up is people. Every couple, every story, every dynamic is different, and I approach each one with intention, care, and a deep respect for what this day means to you.

I’m not here to force moments or turn your wedding into a photoshoot. I’ll guide you when you need direction, step back when the moment deserves space, and create images that feel true to who you are. Your photos should feel like a memory, not a performance.

My Photography Style + Approach:

Documentary-meets-editorial photography rooted in real moments and honest connection.

I focus on unscripted emotion and natural interaction, stepping in only when direction is needed to keep things comfortable and effortless. The goal is imagery that feels grounded, relaxed, and true to who you are.

I photograph your day as it actually looked and felt, using rich color, natural light, and thoughtful composition so your images age well and remain timeless.

Documentary: genuine, in-the-moment emotion. Laughter, quiet glances, and movement as it unfolds.

Editorial: subtle guidance that keeps everything natural and unforced.

The result is vibrant, timeless imagery that brings you back to the feeling of the day, not just the visuals.

The Stuff you actually want to know

  • I’m technically a terrible wedding photographer because I eloped. Bought the dress, flew 1,600 miles, didn't tell anyone, hired an EPIC photographer, and got married in Glacier National Park. Zero regrets. Would do it again.

  • My love for reading might be considered unreasonable. I think about books constantly, my TBR is out of control (300+ and growing), and yes, BookTok doom-scrolling is absolutely a personality trait at this point.

  • This is a one-woman business. When you inquire, email, meet, and show up on your wedding day, it’s me. Always.

  • My wife has put a firm limit on shoe purchases, but you will regularly see me in business-appropriate attire paired with Converse, PF Flyers, Nikes, or Doc Martens.

  • I’m deeply emotional and will probably cry during your vows. I consider this a built-in quality check, not a weakness.

I take my work seriously and show up as a real human you’ll actually enjoy being around.
